Resources

ICON provides these resources as a service to the nanotechnology community and to those interested in learning more about nanotechnology and its environmental and health risks.

  • The Virtual Journal of Nanotechnology Environment, Health & Safety is a monthly journal that contains citations and links to articles that have appeared in a variety of traditional journals and that are related to the environment and health impacts of nanotechnology, with a particular emphasis on nanomaterials.
    • The ICON Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Database is part of the Virtual Journal format and contains summaries (abstracts) and citations for research papers related to the EHS implications of nanoscale materials. Advance Search capabilities for the database are also provided.
  • ICON Reports lists reports issued by ICON, which can be downloaded for your use
  • ICON Backgrounders links to important comments by ICON or other interested experts on topics that are of special interest or may be controversial when published in the research literature.
  • Nanotechnology can be a jargon and acronym heavy field, and so the glossary is a resource to help you navigate this specialized terminology.
  • Policy Reports provides access to may reports issued by other organizations that have been included in the Items of Interest column of the main web-page - many of these reports provide short overviews of the key issues surrounding the intersection of nanotechnology, health, and the environment.
  • The links page is our collection of outside resources that are relevant to these issues.

Do you have a resource that you would like to see?  Let us know.
