Best Practices
This working group has been created to facilitate and develop activities producing or using information in support of nanotechnology health and environmental risk assessment and management. To accomplish this objective, the group has developed strategic tasks to provide the information for the following priority areas:
- The GoodNanoGuide: Develop and launch a protected Internet site on occupational practices for the safe handling of nanomaterials using a wiki-software platform. - Project Active
- Create a process wherein multiple stakeholders within the international community contribute, share and discuss information related to occupational safety
- Establish a modern, interactive forum that fills the need for up-to-date information and remains current as new practices develop
- Current Practices for working with nanomaterials: Facilitate the documentation of current best practice guidelines for identifying, managing and reducing risks (across all lifecycle phases) for the production, handling, use and disposal of nanomaterials - Project Complete
